About Me

I'm Kamille. I'm an Army wife and a mommy. Yay!

Ugh.

Well, those things aren't bad, they just carry a certain stereotype. I started out in the military myself, setting myself up for a successful career. I sought adventure and excitement. There was no way I was going to settle down and become a typical housewife. But one day, I woke up and found myself living that life.

And I kind of like it.

My story is not unique - I found love when I least expected it.

I graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2007, commissioned, and enjoyed five exciting years in the military. During this time, I met a man in the Army, and spent a few short months getting to know him. Right around the time we irreversibly fell in love, I was sent to 6,000 miles and six time zones away from him. We continued our relationship through two deployments (one for each of us), until being far away became too much.

I separated in Summer 2012 in order to get married and actually live with my new husband!

I will never regret choosing him, but that doesn't mean the transition isn't difficult. The Army is different from the Air Force, and the world of spouses is vastly different from the world of active duty service.
